COVID-19: Important Store Changes to Assist You Safely and Efficiently

Dear Neighbor,

By now you’ve received many messages about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). As the owners of Steve’s Ace, we too live in and love Dubuque. This note is merely a humble attempt to assist our community as best we can, given the platform we have.

With the spread of Coronavirus across the country, we want to offer support and a steady hand knowing many in our town are fearful. Many of you are asking what you can do around the home to help prevent the spread of illness and keep your family safe. We’re monitoring the evolving situation closely and are relying on guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local health officials to inform our recommendations. We’re working with our suppliers to stock-up on in-demand items such as cleaning and disinfectant products, hand soaps, hand sanitizers and everything else you need to preserve and protect your home and your family.

While we typically love having you and your families in our store, we have decided that it is critically important that we eliminate browsing and limit customers in the store to only those older than 16 years of age who we are individually assisting to find their essential items.

We realize minimizing contact can also help prevent the spread of illness, and we’ll continue to offer several ways for you to get everything you need through Buy Online, Pick-Up in-store or Buy Online, Deliver from store. Visit us at stevesace.com or call us directly at 563-690-1500 (JFK) or 563-588-9755 (Locust) and we will deliver your order to your car when you drive-up. We want to make it as convenient as possible for you to get the products you need when you need them.

From our family, we offer our deepest sympathies to those who have already been affected. Your local Steve’s Ace team is here to serve you. Our sole purpose is simple —we exist to help others and we are committed to supporting our community in this time of need.

Stay healthy…and wash your hands.

Sara and Jason Carpenter
