Retuning Online: You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Holiday specific items may not be returned after the holiday.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Returning In-Store: Items purchased via our website may be returned in-store to our 3350 JFK Road location, within 90 days. 
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order. Holiday specific items may not be returned after the holiday.

We currently ship Sprout & The Flower Shoppe items to all states in the contiguous United States. 
 
Please note: Steve's Ace, Garden Center, Oversized Items, and Large Bagged Good items are available for pickup and local delivery in the Dubuque. Iowa area only. To inquire about delivery or shipping outside our local area, please contact us.

Plant Adoption & Warranty Information

Congratulations on becoming a Plant Parent! All living things need food and water to grow.

Here are some other tips for success..

  • Dig a hole twice as wide as the container and the same depth.
  • Add soil amendments to the soil you removed, like sphagnum peat moss, compost, manure.
  • Remove pot and fluff roots if compacted.
  • Backfill with good soil mix halfway around roots and water with a starter fertilizer.
  • Fill the hole the rest of the way and water well.
  • Check the plant daily for moisture and water if needed.
  • Do not use any other types of fertilizer the first year.
  • Water all plants well before the ground freezes in the fall.

Warranty:
All trees, shrubs, roses (excluding tree roses) and perennials have a 1 year guarantee from date of purchase.
To qualify for warranty: Guests must be an Ace Rewards member- no exceptions.

Plants damaged by acts of god, animal damage or mechanical damage are NOT guaranteed. Plant AND proof of purchase must both be present to receive credit. Credit will be issued in the form of a gift card for the amount initially paid. Gift card may only be used towards the purchase of another plant. Steve’s Ace replaces the plant ONE TIME only.

Returns Policy

Plant Returns: Annuals can be returned within 7 days of purchase in sell-able condition in-store to our 3350 JFK Road location. For others, please refer to our plant warranty.

Returns of un-used merchandise in original packaging/tags may be made within 90 days of purchase with a receipt. (Applies to purchases from Ace Hardware, the Flower Shoppe & Sprout) may be returned in-store to our 3350 JFK Road location, within 90 days with proof of purchase. Returns will be made in form of original payment. Returns without a receipt will be honored at Manager's discretion and returned as a gift card. *Some Sprout merchandise has a shorter return window, please see your receipt for details. Ace branded items come with a satisfaction guarantee.

Price Match Policy

Steve's Ace may price match an in-stock item from a local competitor or major e-commerce store  at the Managers discretion.
